If the customer supplies a CAD file, you can simply import it instead of spending all the time re-entering every dimension on the blueprint.  This saves considerable time (as most of the time of CNC programming is entering the geometry) and error (as it is easy to misread some blue-prints, aside from just the regular type of problem).
